if it's on NPR...it must be true...

We all know that I'm the closest thing to a hippie (I am, for the record, also the only one that believes in the truth that is NPR) in my family...but even I am guilty of buying plastic bottles of shampoo far too often and washing my hair every day - sometimes twice a day...well, just because.  Fairly recently, I stopped this process...well, stopped may be a bit much but I've tailored back...I've started washing my hair every other day.  Why?  well...my friends here at work all tell me how little they wash their hair and it always looked better than mine...granted I haven't had a cut in several months...so here's what I did...

Last Sunday I was out in Havertown without my toiletry bag and couldn't shower...so I showered/washed my hair around 1:00pm before meeting up with some friends for brunch...then I woke up a little late on Monday morning for work and I didn't feel like being rushed - or late - for work...so I skipped the shampoo...(yes, I still showered) - no one seemed to notice...so I continued the process...it's been two weeks now and I'm pumped...not only have I cut down on my morning routine 2 to 3 days a week, I'm saving money by using less overall...nice bonus...granted I'm making a grand statement like the chick in this article from NPR that went for three months...but that's the moral here, people...go green with out going crazy...

No pictures this time, but I'm getting my hair cut and colored tonight so maybe I'll post some early next week...

I'm off on a road trip this weekend...have a good one...

Until next time...
